Default Some Quality Time With My Folks....and Some Quality Targets Too

As I mentioned on my previous post, I got my dad out while visiting from Chicago. Because I found a ring or two, my mom was so excited, I had to take her out the next day. And.....we even got out a third day. I told my wife that my folks should come visit more often.....I gave me a chance to get out 3 times in 5 days

It still amazes me how much the beaches of southern CA can change in just a few days. Mid week we had some cuts that were over 6 feet. Over the course of the next few days, those cuts were half of what they were on Wednesday of last week.

What you see is an accumulation of 3 times out for a total of about 18 hours of hunting. The picture with three rings to include the big filigree ring are .925. The other three ring picture is a mixture of tungsten, titanium and a junker. 4 of the rings found with my new dual field the other 2 with my excal. Even though none of the rings were found by my mom or dad, they both found a few coins to keep up their excitement.

No gold, but the time I got to spend with my mom and dad was priceless.......HH

The real treasure is getting outdoors with your loved ones. Very cool! That filigree ring sure is a neat find, too.

That's cool. Next christmas when I'm visiting Australia to see my folks I'd love to take my dad out. I'm sure he'd love it too. Congrats on that nice filigree ring.

Great finds there, and spending time with the folks is very rewarding in itself...
