Default Full Band Mercury Dimes reminder

Just a friendly reminder to check for full bands on Mercury Dimes, it can really improve their collectibility and value.

do you think this merc has a chance at all for full split bands? plus look at the date....is it doubled or just my eyes playing tricks?

Yeah those bands are NICE! It's a very nice coin all around. The date sure looks doubled to me in those pics.
It might be worth it to take it down to a good coin shop to find out if grading is worth the money.

I don't think 1917 is a date that is known for a DDO but it's always worth having someone look at it. It could just be machine doubling since it appears to also be doubled in some of the lettering.

Nice coin either way and worth having some take a peek

yeah most of the letters on the obverse have the doubling, including the "In God We Trust"

From the research I've done I'm quite sure that outlayer errors in mintages not known for a bad die/hammer make them even more desirable. Anyhow, good luck!
