Default The Run-all done...

Yes, it's true, The Captain found no silver today......No surprise to me, I commented to Ferrous on the way to the hunting grounds that I 'wasn't feeling it today', and he looked at me like I was crazy..."Make it happen, Cap'n"...but I couldn't. No big deal, I'll just start another run. Here's today's cool 'relics'...[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG] This will clean up easily, and get added to the gear, I know I'll have a need for it one day while hunting...Here's a buckle I dug, looks old...[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG] Here's the keeper coins...[IMG][/IMG]The Indian is too crispy to get a date, but at least I got one![IMG][/IMG] It was a good hunt and a good time, neither of us got silver, but hey, it happens...Thanks for looking!

Don't sweat it Captain, you had a great consecutive silver run and I'm sure your next hunt you'll make up for it by getting mult silvers. You still had a nice hunt.

The day had to eventually come....all the lost silver on planet earth has been found. Cap'n found the last bit on his last outing. What will you be changing your moniker to now?

That Indian help makes up for a little of the pain I'm sure. Look at the bright side...you can't start a new streak until the old streak is over. Look at it as opportunity. Anyways, Captain Silver sounds much cooler than Captain Copper.

Hey an Indian is better than a Mercury Roosevelt or Washington any day of the week. Id rather dig old us copper coins than modern junk silver! I say you had a great hunt!

I was wondering about that... I'm sure I got dumped on as well, guess I'll find out when it still all over my yard when I get home in about 10 days.

Though the streak is over, wheats and an injun aren't much of a disappointment either

I'm not bumming because the streak ended, it actually takes the pressure off. Now I can do some experimenting with my hunting style, settings and methods next time out, and enjoy my surroundings a little more, not 'having' to find a silver. I got a great start to the season before the season would normally start, usually digging doesn't commence 'till sometime in March around here...I looked again at the Indian and there's no way to get a date off it, looks worse than it did yesterday. The dirt it came out of is constantly damp, that's why it's so corroded. Peroxide will not help, either. Hopefully the next Indian will be in better shape than the 2 so far, the first one was hammered into a square...No hunting today, but I'll be out during the week. Thanks for the replies everyone! Go Giants!

You definitely had a great streak, but I must say, I absolutely admire your attitude. You're looking towards the next streak and not really dwelling on the end of the awesome streak you just had. I am just getting started so I'd be happy if my year end totals added up to the streak you just had. Job well done Captain! Go out there and start a better streak this time!
