Default First of February

I had the day off work and it's in the 60s out so of course I hit a local park here in Wichita. I was under no time constraints so I slowed my swing down a lot and dug signals I would usually pass on. The Barber Quarter was very close to some rusty wire, and the pinpoint signal jumped from the good target to the bad with no interruption. I dug the junk first and rechecked for the good signal and it was still there. It was a solid 12-47 at 7 inches and made my day. The Mercury Dime was a wonky signal. A high chirp that has a chunk sound to it. Read at 8-9 inches and it was a 12-38 to 42. I'm guessing it was on edge as it was only 4-5 inches deep.
I also found 1913,20, and 34 Wheat Cents too.

Congrats man! These old parks around here will yield to the new generation of metal detectors. I am still convinced my first Seated coin will come from a Wichita park.

Cool, it is nice to see there is still some silver in Wichita's Parks. I have yet to pull a silver from a park, so it gives me hope.
