Does anyone here have,or have had one of these machines? As far as I'm concerned its a fine starter machine. I have had great success with it so far, exceeding all exspectations.I guess what I want to know is If I am getting all I can out of it,and a more experienced person with this machine could give me some input. Any and all is appreciated. Thanks folks.

I don't have one, but my friend recently puchased one to go hunting with me on occasion. I have played with it a little and we did a little comparision to my Ace 250 when working beach sand...............
The depth of locating targets seemed to be the same, and the readings almost exact between the two. I would compare them as twin machines, with difference's in the tones and button layout. The only thing I did not care for was it did not come with a strap. As well it felt a bit off balance, and feels coil heavy(stock coil). Makes a difference if your going to swing for hours. So getting or making a strap is a must, along with a little padding on the plastic cuff too. Learning your machine will give you the most out of it. |

I can't really speak much to it since I've only been out with mine (a Prizm IV, same as your CM PRO) on just one hunt so far, but coming from my ancient 2900, it's a pleasure to use. The tone ID is great to allow me to not have to stare at my screen. It did feel a touch nose heavy, but that could be from how it's adjusted for my height (5'-11"). I have a strap, but didn't find a need for it yet since the coil does pull a bit, lifting the arm cup upward naturally.

I got my mom the regular coin master for her first machine. She has only used it one time and did not listen to what I told her or watch the video again to see how to use it proper. I have heard it is a good machine. HH..

I have two machines in the Prizm line and I like them both. I believe that the Pro is basically a Prizm IV. I think that they are very good machines and I have been very pleased with mine. I have been detecting for many years and have had a bunch of different detectors. I initially went to the Prizm V because I had not been able to detect for about a year due to Rheumatoid Arthritis and the weight of most detectors and the swinging motion was just too much for me. I was amazed at how light the 5 was and with the 4X6 DD Shooter coil, I could swing it all day. That is one hot little coil and I have done very well with it. I upgraded to the 6T because I wanted the VDI and auto trac and have been very pleased. I believe that the 6T is my favorite detector that I have owned and like I said I have owned a bunch in my time. It is easy to use and deep enough for my purposes. I am primarily a coinshooter and both of the detectors do very well on coins. My recommendations would be to get the 4X6 DD shooter coil if you hunt a lot of trashy areas like I do. I hunt primarily by tone but I do use the display to confirm my decision to dig or not dig. Without knowing specifically what you are trying to accomplish, it's hard to give much more advice than that but I will be glad to help if I can.
