Default Back in the game

Well after taking about a six month break from Mding (deployment, winter, etc.) I tried my hand again at finding some metal in the dirt.

We bought my father in law a fischer f2 last year from kellyco, but the only action it saw was the inside of the box. I wanted to compare it to my ace350, so after a quick assembly and a few practice swings, I hit the yard.

All i have to say is wow. Maybe my simple mind never fully grasped the ace, or its just been awhile since I searched the dirt, but I have only good things to say about the F2.

In about half an hour, i had found over a buck fifty in change along the driveway . I don't remember one false signal. Granted all the change was less than 3 inches, but I never chased a ghost or had to do any heavy digging.

I still love the ace, but the f2 is a great machine for a great price. I think next time I go out, I'll be taking both :-)

question for f2 owners, what is the average to max depth for the f2 and what is your opinion on the the sniper coil (I haven't tested it out yet)

Welcome back!
On a coin size object in good soil the 8"coil should get about 8".
I rarely had a chance to hunt in good soil in my last home, but I did get a nice loud dime signal and dug a dime at about 7-7 1/2 inches once.

I just started using the sniper coil and I think I am gonna love this.
Target separation is great on most Fishers and with most coils, this one is no exception.
The sniper coil seems to excel at this , as a matter of fact.

You should get about 6" on a coin size object with this one.

All these depths are at max sense settings.
