Talking "a Busted Lady!" Dang Se!!!

Man, This has been one wild ride of a week. I can't believe it's gone by so quickly!

Basically, I'm retired. I have the time to pursue this MD'ing mania like mad. And, I am. I've been from Raton, New Mexico to Pueblo, Colorado back and forth, forth and back. The last several days I've tried concentrating a little closer to home; Trinidad, Colorado. Anyway, the weather's certainly been strange; rain, hail and snow. Throw a 70 degree day or two in the mix also and you definitely have one weird drink!

Anyway, a record coin week; at least for me. Several "don't know whats". An 1828 Busted Lady, an 1863 Seated dime, a 1903-1914 Dime, a brass something or other Olive tree coin, a 1909 V nickel. I also found a mess of melted silver, appears to be quarters and a silver dollar? Anyway, don't wish to brag; just been working extremely hard to find this stuff. There's also some sort of Chinese coin there also.

SE owners; if you find a hot pocket increase your sensitivity to max and gain to at least 8; it does give you a lot more depth. I dug the 1863(53?) dime for example at almost 10 inches.

wow vary nice finds, the 1828 is amazing.
BTW the old coin with the grapes next to the Chinese one looks like an Israeli coin, not sure if real or fake but it's definitely Hebrew on it.

Nice finds! What's the rock looking thing next to the washer, and what's the washer from--I know I've seen those on something.

Hello Guys!
Thanks for taking a gander at my junk for the week!

Kerry,
I don't know about the GREATEST PICTURE? It appears to be brass and has "See American Madness" on the reverse side?

LLer,
Iraeli coin; it's got a palm tree on the other side so that makes sense.

Ed,
If I'm following you; the round object's brass and appears to be something that screws into something else! Lol!

Thank each of you for your interest in my continueing Minelab Explorer SE DT'ing saga!!!

Very nice digs; that lady is sure a beauty! As far as "american madness" is concerned. It might be from the 1932 movie... just a guess

Hey Guys!

*Joe!
Thanks for that link; that token may be worth more than the rest of my junk combined! I didn't realize it was so old!

Ed,
My aplologies! I had one more picture that I thought I'd included. It's there now. What you were referring to, I think is the Chinese coin next to the Israeli coin?

Thanks again,
GRB

I was talking about the washer under the half moon shaped piece of metal, it seems familiar, but I just can't place it.

Hey Ed!
That, I believe is a slug. It has a concaved backside with the number 4 on it.
The cresent shaped thing is actually a store token. It's the first I have found sliced in two. Someone told me the merchant, if the customer did not spend the entire token would simply cut it in half as a sort of refund?

Another board member PM'ed me about the seated half dime. I thought it was an 1863. Turns out, it's an 1853 and could be worth a little bit of moola. I guess I'd better wrap her up in plastic.

Thanks all!

RoyBoy,

American Madness was a movie (1932). Maybe the token was a promo freebie to get into the theatre...?
