Well I got out as much as I could on this "staycation". I went out today for a few hours on a new spot in a corn field and had great luck. 1st target 3 feet from the car was a fired Gardner followed by 2 more in the first 10 minutes. After that it slowed down a little. I found a flat button, some type of gun sight right next to a dropped 3 ringer, a charge casing from a Burnside carbine round (I think), a couple brass items unknown what they maybe.
I found a bunch of fired Gardners and 1 of them looks like it was struck by another bullet, fired and dropped Enfield, Sharps ring tail, and another carbine round, large frag, and some camp lead. Of course I had the usual bag of farm field junk, broken bolts, wire, nails, etc. not pictured.

Thanks for looking
HH

Awesome finds, congrats! I love the white patina you get from the fields up there! Ours are often brownish, with the white ones only coming out from the really wet areas.

Thanks. I have found some bullets in Richmond and they look almost like they are rusted from the soil. I think the sight is from an Enfield.
