I had to work for the last 12 days so this was my first hunt since that. I found the Indian head in the middle of a corn field also found a few other trinkets in the field. I found another 1 of those little 36 cal CSA pistol bullets! Never thought I'd dig another on of them. Found a six pack of 44 revolver bullets, 1 early 44 revolver bullet, another type of gun tool, nice frag, and bunch of other bullets.

I started the day by giving the land owner a display case with 24 nice bullets to show my appreciation for the permission to hunt there and he was very happy with that.

Thanks for looking
HH

Congrats on your first IH...just got mine a couple weeks ago! Cool finds on the ammo too!

Found all kinds of older coins. Been with my friend when he came across an 1870 IH, his first. Still waiting on finding my first IH.

Congrat's on your first IH!

That tool looks like what's left of a percussion cap nipple wrench. Familiar to me as another hobby of mine is shooting cap and ball revolvers.

That's what I was thinking, it also has a piece that folded out to use as a screw driver, kinda hard to see in the pictures.

Very nice! Its in one of the best conditions I've seen any IH that was dug up. Interesting you found it among Civil War bullets as I've had friends insist you will never find coins where there is CW relics. Which doesn't make sense because multiple people can lose things on the same piece of land. :?:

Wow a bunch of great finds there. I'm waiting for my first civil war bullet. I remember looking long and hard for my first Indian Head and I love the look of them. Congrats!

I was hunting earlier this summer digging bullets and my buddy dug a 1776 reale, the next day I went in the same field and found more bullets and a 1964 dime. I have also found an 1831 large cent in a field with bullets,
so I have to disagree with your friends on that one based on my first hand digging.
