How do you clean silver rings that have turned black from being in the water. I have found a few rings this past week that are stamped 925 but they are completely black from being in the water.
Sure would like some advice.
Thanks

Well if it were me, I would use my Wright's Silver Polish. It's gentle enough to clean my good silver, but has a fine abrasive in it to be effective. You can get it at the grocery store.

I always use baking soda for my silver........use plenty of water with it, and rub gently.

I have used a dremel with a brass brush, then use a dremel with a polishing wheel an it does a great job on the rings. Thats how I did the ring in the pic. This ring was about 6" deep an very black when found. If it is a smooth ring then I use a silver cleaner an then polish with the dremel.
