I currently have a Pioneer (aka a Quick Draw 2) MD made by Bounty Hunter.
It's alright.

That being said I was wondering should I spring for a 4" coil that BH makes OR
When I get my AT Pro (soon....i hope) should I get a smaller coil for that?

And if you say - Get a smaller coil for the AT Pro...which one do you recommend?

I wouldn't spend the money on the BH, just keep it as a back up detector UNLESS you hunt totlots. In that specific case, I would use the AT Pro in the wide open areas and get a sniper for the BH to work in/around the playground poles etc. The AT Pro is sensitive around big metal (hard to get within 2ft) and the BH with a sniper coil can clean up those areas easy.

If just hunting open areas mostly that are really trashy, then get the sniper for the AT Pro. I'd suggest a Nel coil because from what I have obseved from other members here is they run better (little deeper/more sensitive) than the 5x8 AT Pro coil from Garrett. Not by much, but many say better even though the Garrett 5x8 is a killer. Then truly keep the BH for a backup. Check out the Nel Snake for the ATP.
