We had a break in the weather today so I went out to a couple of curbstrips that produced a good Wheatie count last time CruiserKev and I were there.

Hit it very hard, especially a curbstrip that was about 15 feet long.

My persistence paid off and I was rewarded with a very worn 1918 Mercury dime and 8 Wheaties (oldest being 1914 (sadly no mintmark on that:() and a 1923). The dates of all of the Wheaties were 1914, 1923S, 1943D, 1945D, 1957, 1942S, 1946S, and 1942S. 2 Washington Tax Tokens.

Think the only reason I was able to pull the Merc was because it was so worn it sounded like a Wheatie.

First silver coin of 2019 calendar year.

HH All!

you did really well . still waiting for my first sliver.

It will come...:D

Nice going on the silver and wheat pennies! I really like that marble.

The marble was a bonus find with the Merc (should have stated that). Funny that all the marbles I have found were always around a silver coin. Then again, playing with marbles was something kids haven't done since pre-1964, coincidence?

A very nice start to the new year Paul. Congrats on the Merc, the Wheat's, the Token's and the very impressive Marble. Glad to see somebody challenge Jamflicker in this category as he has ruled it for years. Trapper
