Mx sport

hi Nodrog,

looks like you live in the Macon GA area. I know it well. I'm originally from Carrollton and spent a lot of time in Lagrange, Columbus and Macon. The "Fall Line" runs right through Bibb County and splits it roughly in half. The northern part should be medium mineralization with lots of rotting granite and gneiss. The southern part and all the way to the Florida Keys should be mild to low mineralization with varying deposits of limestone, gray clay, shale, loosely compacted sandstone, alluvial sands and shell formations.

For waterproof detectors, the MX Sport, and all of the Garrett ATs should do well but the Makros, Noktas, and the Equinox 600 would be incredible there.

I keep a Minelab X-Terra 50 at my parents house in Carrollton for whenever I am visiting them and it goes really deep even in the really bad, red, iron rich dirt made from rotting granite, schist and gneiss in Carroll County.

happy hunting,
Jeff
