Hi Diggers,
What started off as a very faint signal on my XP Deus turned into a big hunk of iron almost 3 feet down! I've been detecting a siege camp that saw action in 1676 and 1688. The belligerents were the French Army against the Armies of the Holy Roman Empire (War of Polish Succession). I previously found an 18 lb cannon ball at this same site.
