Photobucket fix

Try this one.. It's new to me as well, so you know as much as I do.
The fix works for me in uploading pictures. Others may also need to
run the fix in order to see other people's pictures.... I don't know.

What you just posted looks like this on my computer -

pb2.jpg

Now your most recent photos on the other thread are showing up but the earlier ones are as above also.

When there is enough hits on a particular picture, Photobucket software checks to see where the picture is, then makes it disappear and adds that crazy speedo.

So, is it the viewing, or the posting that this "fix"....well, "fixes"

No Idea, but my ship photo is still there...... at the moment :)

As I said earlier, I think everyone who wants to look at the photos, needs to have the "fix" downloaded. I stand to be corrected on that.

At present, it is only available for those using Firefox or Chrome.

Here's another photo from my PB Library. If you are not using Firefox or
Chrome, you wont be able to see it.

it only fixes YOUR browser, not other people viewing your pic. If you want to fix YOUR browser, you need to download and install the fix, then refresh your screen.

Someone that has not done the fix, still sees the generic pic of all PB pics.

Not sure if this has been looked into...

Has anyone dug into this "fix" to see if any spyware or malware comes with it?

Nothing is free they say...

To be on the safe side you can try these after the download and install of that fix -

I have been using the free version of Malwarebytes for years and it has worked fine, it "Detects and removes malware and advanced threats" -

https://www.malwarebytes.com/premium/

Also I have occasionally used their free adware remover, adware is not a virus, but can still slow things down -

I didn't realize that Photobucket allow third part hosting again, but pictures
have a big watermark across them, unless you pay.

I now use Flickr for albums, although their free version has a 1000 photo limit.
For posting single images, I use "PostImage".
