I f you took a deus or any other detector that I happened to be using at the time and showed what that guys video showed the at doing I would be asking questions about my detector it is true I like the deus but I'm not so brand loyal that if there were better options that I wouldn't part ways with it. If all want to be happy with their detector by all means be that way but some will see it and start asking questions
Everybody talks about iron but where I am aluminum is the problem. So in my test garden I put a dime at 5" and a square tab at 2.5" and offset from the dime about an inch. Fresh hole, dry dirt. The Deus reads a square tab at vdi 74. On the combo it gave a 77, no tone difference. Then I tried the CTX. It ID'd the square tab as usual but also put an empty circle right where a dime would be. I love my Deus but that got my attention big time.

Try it with a paper clip it will do the same thing no detector on the market can pass that kind of test tonally from the cheapest to the greatest hurt my feelings when my friend showed me that test with a screw and a coin good job testing if you find one that will let me know I'll be the first in line to buy it

Except the CTX shows the coin if you happen to be watching the screen.

I did that test with the CTX and 17" coil. Tried it later with the standard coil and the dime never showed up like it did with the 17". Thought I should add that info.
