My bud from SC came up to visit for the weekend, so we got out for some camping and digging. My wife and I are expecting our 2nd next month, and I'm sure my free time will become non-existent pretty soon. We had to get out for bro-time while we could, and got out we did!

I scored a nice 1773 Virginia Halfpenny, my second for this year! Also got a couple dropped CW bullets, an Enfield and Starr Carbine. Pretty stoked about the Starr, never found one before. The point has been identified as an Adena Spear point, and I spotted it right on top the ground in a freshly plowed field. I have no idea as to the age of anything else about it.

The unusual item with the archway & column design baffles me. Being a CW guy when I see pillars and arches I think Georgia seal, but I'm sure this isn't anything GA related. I'm not sure. Any help out there would be great!

Also got a couple percussion caps, rivets, a button back from a 2-piece button with the thread still attached, and a brass whats-it.

My buddy got a 1917 Mercury Dime, a nice flat button with a design, and a Spencer carbine bullet. I cant wait to do it again, but the wife says it may be a little while. :D

How about checking the bullet I just posted in Help ID my finds. I'm not sure what it is. Thanks

archway & column item sure looks familiar...maybe I'm also thinking GA out of habit also. Hmm

Is there lettering down the left column, almost looks like ZA... But maybe it's my imagination.

Thanks man. What about the point? I figured you would know for sure what it is and might have some additional info.

U dont see many of the 1773 half pennies posted, awesome find! That was my first ever 1700s coin that i dug

Some terrific finds! I really like the lead, and that piece with the columns and arch is interesting. Hope somebody can come up with an I.d. For you. I don't have a clue. Congrats on the upcoming addition to the family too!
