I can't believe I just dug this. The only coin I got besides a little clad. Its now my oldest. Also dumb struck by the condition. The date is clear as day. The farm is 1700s but unknown exact date.

Great find neighbor. So rare to find those in that condition. Over here it's tough finding 1800's LC's with that detail. Big congrats.
 
Man, you guys have been killing it with the old finds out where I used to live as a little kid. I need to get back out there and do some hunting one of these days. Outstanding find! Congrats!
 
Thanks everybody. It's a strange property indeed. There just aren't any targets with age there. The home owner says it's never been hunted and it's been in his family for over 100 years. still only a few pewter spoon bits. No buttons, buckles, or even wheat pennies. I'm over the moon with the KGI but at a loss of why nothing else.
