Got in an hour of swinging at the new place in Kansas. Got a bunch of trash, $1.36 in clad AND the best padlock I have ever found!

It is a brass padlock made by Union Brass Manufacturing Company, Chicago. It is also stamped "K P R R" which I believe is Kansas Pacific Rail Road. The KPRR operated from 1863-1880 and was absorbed by Union Pacific.

If anyone has better info on the lock please let me know. Thanks for looking.

Probably a railroad switch lock ... nice find !! I wish I still had my Dad's ring of switch keys. They were very cool. He worked on the RR for a long time.

That lock is awesome!

Is that a dog and cat playing together?

No, dog is carrying his stuffed toy around with him. My 11 year old lab is a retriever through and through...

Cool lock! Awesome looking home, wow. Congrats!

Tallgrass Lodge Outdoor Adventures (tallgrasslodge .com) owns the place and I am lucky enough to live there as Lodge Manager/Hunting Guide. It is a new facility. Currently constructing the dog kennels for our bird dogs. We are prepping it for next hunting season. My breaks from work will be spent trying to find coins and other treasures in the yard.:yes::yes:
