Any guesses to age

So the other day I was out swinging in an area with an old cellar and found this piece of bottle partially buried in the ground. Couldn't find the other half or any other bottles. At first I thought nothing of it and left it alone but upon looking at it on my way back, i decided to bring it back.

This is a very thick bottle and the bottom/pontil is kind of funky. The bottom of the bottle, not only goes in on the bottom but then also has a blob type piece sticking down.

Its a cool bottom, even if not old, but given the bottom, the thickness of the glass and the bubbles, I'm thinking it might have some age to it, but thats just a gut feeling.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Your wine bottle has a few bubbles there so it could be 20s or a little earlier. That type of bottom is called a "kick-up" or "punt". And as Scuba said, these kick-up bottomed wines were made for many years, maybe still are IDK. Collectors generally don't want the wines unless they are older and are either nicely labeled or have embossing (which is pretty rare). Some are nice "window bottles" if they are nicely colored.

Thanks guys. I would have kept it if it had been complete, even if it just sat in the garage because it was so heavy.
