Hey, I'm Cody, from the Augusta, Ga area. I have always gone detecting with my father but recently found myself taking the initiative to head out and start hunting on my own. War relic Hunter by heart, huge interest in the civil war (kind of hard not to be in the Augusta area, the war's history is everywhere). Have searched several items for identification on the past and 9 times out of 10 o end up finding the answers here so decided to stop being a lurker so I can show my appreciation to everyone here for sharing their knowledge, it has saved me so much time and headache of reading through pages of books. Again thank you all.
 
Welcome to FMDF Cody. I think it is great you detect with your father when you can. My father is gone now and I wish we had spent more time together.
