These came from a small patch of cedar trees where they are cutting a road through. I need to hit it hard before they pave it and all relics will be lost.

Too bad the "bat wing" and carbine were not laying next to it!

I have always dreamed of digging a CW gun....of any kind. So far only parts and pieces.

I haven't found a gun either that would be sweet. I did find two lock plates from a muzzle loader and several Minnie balls all from one outing. They where near a battlefield.

Great finds, WV Hillbilly. Now I know what a Civil War sling buckle
looks like. It's cool that the Connecticut button still has some gilt on it!

Thanks, I have a couple more you can see in my profile album. Along with a nice eagle c button.

Not that I would ever sell the sling buckle but just looking at the value of these online they are anywhere from $85 to $200.

Sweet finds...look forward to meeting up and hitting some areas...we've got it made...not only CW relics but the Founding Fathers lived here too...if this wind keeps up we should have a decent weekend to get out...let me know
