Hi,

I went to LI for vacation last week, I took my detector with me and hunted the beach front sand at some friends houses. Yesterday morning I went out for one last hunt before packing the car and hit this at about 6-7" down.

It came in as Silver on the meter between dime and quarter. It weighs 13gm and looks like a Spanish Coin. I don't have a test kit to see if it's silver.

I just thought I would post it here to see if anyone knows what it is. I only used mild soap and water to clean it so far.

Thanks for looking

Hey Andrew,

Thanks for the quick reply and information, I did run it over to a coin shop I was passing by and he said it was a replica, but a nice one...

It was fun to dream for a few moments, oh well just means I have to get back out there and keep swinging the coil. Maybe the next one will be the real deal, One can only hope....

I did get a bunch of pocket change and a 1943 Mercury Dime so the week was not a total loss...

Thanks again
