Found on new land purchased in Pennsylvania. Wondering if it an older milk bottle or something else. Thank you for your help.

Yup that's an oldie! I would guesstimate late 1800's. That bottle was once clear glass. There's a chemical they put into glass back then that after prolonged periods of sunlight, would turn the glass purple. I believe the chemical is known as manganese. I dont think it's a milk bottle, probably some kind of sauce or syrup. Awesome find!!!

"Pat Appd For"

I see some bubbles. Are there seams and if so do they go up through the lip or stop before?

So far it looks like circa 1910-20 but I just can't tell. It is not a bottle I've ever held or dug.

Due to the neck shape, I'd say it wasn't a ceramic/wire style capped bottle, most likely a wide cork, the smooth center was probably where the identifying paper label would have been, I agree possibly late 1800's to early 1900's. As to what...bath salts, elixir/tonic, perfume, haven't seen one exactly like this, but some awful close. Definitely a rare find, I'd hang onto this one and don't let it go too easy, I'm sure more bottle collectors will chime in. The fact it had a pat appd for, probably for the contents I would assume more so than the bottle shape, and definitely domestic. My best guess.
Nice find for sure.

There is a seam that ends by the stem and there are bubbles. The bottle is not perfectly round either. When rolling, the irregularity is very evident.

Edited for accuracy.

Thanks for the new pictures. After seeing the details (bubbles, purpled, crudeness), I'm still thinking I'm in the ballpark on age -1910-20, but possibly a little earlier.. It really is an unusual bottle that I've not held or dug so hoping someome else may be able to add some info. If you find any more bottles in the same area, that may help narrow down the age question.

I’ve searched the internet for many hours without seeing a bottle that remotely resembles the one in this thread.

Can anyone give me some search ideas? What style of bottle is this with 2 bulbous shapes?

Done the same thing, no luck, maybe used in an industrial capacity, old equipment, tractor, that middle smooth section might have been for a band clamp of sorts for mounting, maybe oil, fuel etc. It's not ornate so I would eliminate perfume, drink, medicine, has more of a practical use shape. The pat appd for has some indication someone was intending to use this in multiple instances for something.

edit:
slim possibility...vintage baby bottle???
