That is entirely possible.

I've had a few early baby bottles shaped like the one below. but the neck is similar:

Problem is, where he found it. Still betting on farm use. Maybe a baby bottle for a calf??? or yearling???

It looks like a mustard, olive or other condiment jar to me. I think it may have had a paper label around the middle of the bottle. Although I can't find that exact bottle, it's very similar to many of these:
