" just two lost souls, swimming in a fish bowl, year after year, Running over the same old ground. What have we found?"

We could not resist venturing out on such a beautiful sunny January 1st. Colleen took out her brand new F75 and I had my old CZ 20. The surf was roaring, the sand was crusty, and a nippy little breeze was blowing from the SW. Colleen started out her 2017 finds with a surf tarnished state quarter and won the day finding 28 more coins. I started out with a zincoln and ended with a total of 11 for the day. Good start for the year!

We were close to him but he was there in the morning and us later in the day. The part he was in does not seem to get as much sun.

Its blowing a Gale today...-2 windchill, freezing spray, 9-13 footers churning up some more targets!...Yesterday was flat calm and in the upper 30's....I got out for a little, the sand was thawed.

The Pere Marquette Beachcam or the NOAA webcam on the harbor is a good thing to check everyday...If any of you Southerners feel overheated, take a look to see Lake Michigan in the Winter.....
Mud.
