Metal bowl shaped, flat bottom, no markings, any ideas what to Google search on this? Thanks

Good luck ID'ing that, it could be a lot of things. First, look for some engraving or stamping on it. If you can't locate any, then try scraping a bit of metal off the inside of the rim, so you can ID the metal type. Also see if you can ID any residue within the bowl, that could help to figure out what it was--cold cream or other cosmetic container, ash tray, incense burner, etc.

That's clearly a vintage knob cover that parents put on door knobs so their kids can't open the door. Circa 1870.
