I will be heading there for work for about a week and was wondering if it would be worth bringing my detector or is the detecting season over there? Not sure how the history is there so dont know if there are any good places to go. If anyone lives around those areas and wants to do some hunting let me know and I will be sure to ship my detector there before I fly out.

I would take your detector.
Wausau has a lot of nice parks.

There is a ski resort called rib mountain near Wausau.
It would be cool if you could hunt that!

it's cold and windy up here, but the ground is still fine. it won't freeze until end of november/beginning of december.
