Today was a good day of hunting. Didn't find much in the way of clad and no old coins, but I did find this gem!

I guess I could live without any clad if I found one of them also!!! :o)
 
The difference in black hills gold and regular is the 3 colors... if you look at the leaves (which is usually the design) the leaves are three different colors; pink, green and gold. It's due to another material in each alloy. You know it's black hills when you first find it, it's almost always 10k and has the different colors. Congrats on that beauty!!!

The green color in the leaves is from silver being added, and the pink color is from a copper alloy being added. I love love love black hills gold (and black hills silver)! Nice find!

wow ill Digger, that is a really nice ring. it's looks very familiar somehow! LOL Hope to find much more soon. thanks for all the info. Does anyone know about how much it's worth?
