Went back to the high school that I found the silvers at last weekend with the stock 11” coil. But this time brought the 17” coil for the CTX. Pinpointing was a little frustrating at first but I got the hang of it. Managed to pull 3 silvers and 5 wheaties from a small area of this field within an hour of being there today. This school has been hammered over the years by myself and every one else that detects in town. I have been there twice now this year with the new Ctx and have 5 silver dimes and a pile of wheaties. I think it will give up more silvers if I continue. This 17” coil is the real deal! It’s almost like cheating! Ha lol! I can’t wait to go back...

Geez, I keep reading where everyone with an AT PRO is using the smaller 5x8 coil and the Deus guys are all getting the smaller 9" or elliptical and now you're killing it with a huge 17" coil. Guess you're showing them....

lol I hear yah. The Hoover boys use huge coils and find dimes way deep but you see a lot of people using the 5x8 on the ATP with no complaints.

I'm getting the 5x8 next but I'm sure I'll eventually get a huge one too. Might be a while on that though since the stock coil on the ATP feels heavy to me already.
