The old orchard was removed around the 1940's and put back into grass for sheep grazing.

The ’hanging brass’ is a type of harness decoration that was used on draught horses, more often when they were entered in shows and competitions than when they were actually working. They were mainly produced between 1860 and 1914, but were also reproduced later.

Thanks, the piece with the scoop to me looks not to be very old by English standards.

I did think it may have been from the Roman period but I am not really convinced!
