island Hopping

To my wife's great displeasure, I drug along my detector on our cruise. Spent a couple of hours on one of the private islands detecting. Found a good bit of coinage. WAY too many bottle caps and twist caps. I had well over two bucks in change and was focusing on gold tones too.

We have two more stops but only one has a beach trip scheduled. The other is a boat ride. I will update with pictures when I can.

Day 2 didn't bring much. I managed about a dollar in change. It was a small beach and I am sure they hit it daily.

I will say this, if you cruise and have a stop at a private island, it is a target rich site. I am sure if I had more time I would have found some good stuff. There were lots of targets and the only comp was a couple who also had detectors. I don't know how often the locals hit it, or if they do.
