I found one in similar condition, not as bad but close. I tried baking soda cleaning and ruined what was left of the coin.

Should of soaked in olive oil

Try hot peroxide. Works great. Search forum threads for several posts on the subject.

Well did the olive oil soak. Think I'm just going to let her be. My first so keep her in this condition.

there is a solution called Verdi-care http://www.wizardcoinsupply.com/products/verdi-care.html
It is designed to clean pennies and protect them. There isn't anything better in existence.
It will remove all the green verdigris from copper coins.
I have used it many times and it always works.
