Hey everyone, I am new to this site. So, i found this thing at an old homesite. I believe it is made of brass and it has a date on the back, “1846.” If anyone has an idea if what it could be, that would be awesome! Cheers and happy hunting!

I’ve seen them in old fuse boxes for barns and garages. It’s like the thing the Dr Frankenstein used to electrocute his monster as he yelled , “it’s alive” it’s called a knife switch
