Thank you Dan. I'm not even sure what to say about it at this point. It's just insane to me that there is so much of it and it keeps coming. I've hit the mother lode of silver costume jewelry and it's in my yard.
Went back out after dark and found a few items including this old button? I may be wrong but I believe that it's an old Union Navy button. Very cool. The back is covered in crust and I haven't really tried to clean it yet.
The earring and dime were found right under the grass next to each other.
The shotgun shell is an old paper Climax 12 by U.S. Cartridge Co.
The last couple of hunts in the yard haven't produced any more rings. I've been concentrating on the rest of the property and have found wheaties along with other random things but nothing good. I would really be interested to see how a smaller coil would do here. (Currently using the stock coil.) There is still a lot of trash to comb through. Maybe Santa will bring me a NEL Snake or 5x8 coil this year. HH!!!
Tonight I dug these 2 pendants out of separate holes about 4 ft away from each other in my yard. They are marked 1830 at the foot of Mary. The backs are marked Italy. Pretty cool!
Here is another button cap found in my yard that looks like a military style design. I can't quite make out a few letters. It's about the size of a penny in diameter. Any info or ideas?
Picking up from last years amazing jewelry spill discovery in my yard, I hunted out there again and finally found a silver coin. It's a 1946 quarter. Also found this little box that I'm assuming is a makeup case. It was found in a yard several houses down from mine. It's not silver but still pretty cool.
