And you're doing a shameful job once there

I was in southern CA a year or so ago. We passed by a boy scout camp, out in the hills. It was built about 1959-ish, so we figured that's old enough for silver. We drove down the long road that led back to the camp. The gate was wide open. It was mid-week off-season. We drove around a bit, and picked what seemed to be an older portion of it. Whipped out the detectors and gave it a whirl. Clad was so thick, it started to be annoying. So much clad, that we eventually just dug quarters only. I think we got a single silver dime, and 4 or 5 wheaties, but ... it was just too much clad for our blood. Nor is 1959-ish particularly old for our blood. So after an hour, we left.

While we were there: A maintenance guy came driving by on an ATV. He just waved as he drove right past us.
