Navy Button ID help

Found this button and it appears to be gold gilt. The back mark is not completly legible yet, and I am soaking it. So far I can read: MEYERS MIL and then either another L or possibly an I. It is a 2 piece button with the loop on the back. If you can help to ID it I would appreciate it.

There was/is? a button maker N.S.Meyer from New York. Looks to be US navy button..the eagle is facing right so it should be 1941 or newer, although there were some variation in eagle's facing before that.
