Garland Texas and surrounding areas

If I lived in Garland I would start at the home of Garrett metal detectors! Just to get the juices flowing.

Lots of parks in your area, start with those. Garland has some older areas, but everything around is covered in concrete. Duck creek always looks to be an interesting place, lots of foot traffic.

Most of downtown Garland is built over. A building was torn down in downtown that would have been interesting to go over dirt lot to see what turned up. My son worked for the city park department doing mowing and litter pick up and he told me about some places that they took care of but are not really parks that might be interesting to go over.

I'm in Garland by 78 and Firewheel. Hit me up sometime and we'll get together, always better to have a buddy watching your back in some of the more "shady" areas. I had to take some downtime for projects around the house but starting to get out again since it's cooling down now.
