Went out again for 5 hours. Not as exciting as yesterday but still a nice find. The nickle rang in a bit high than I normally get form this machine. Glad I dug it 1945P. 2 wheats. And some more clad and some pics of my trash, the clear bag is the start of this year, about 5-6 hunts. The other is left over from last year which I am still pawing through for anything I can reuse for art projects. HH all!!

I found a war nickel in a city park and I thought that I was digging a dime or quarter based on the tones from my machine. Surprised me when the nickel came out of the dirt. I have tested a number of war nickels and they all came in just at the high side of nickel tones. The war nickel I found still comes in much higher but lower than what it did while still in the dirt

I noticed that a particular war nick I have rings up way higher than all of the others I have. This particular nickel is a Denver mint. all others are P or S

War nickel,,,they will ring higher.

Some more than others.
