I stopped off for a quick hunt after a trip to the Doctor. I have a degenerated disc in my neck affecting my left arm also.. a lot of tingling and weakness. I'm right handed but swing with my left. I headed to a spot in this past that gave up a couple of wheaties before along with some trash indicating an old home site..I've found old fruit jar lids.. zinc and white glass lids. Dealing with the pain score me two toasted coins.. The first was a "V" nickle then a 1903 IH.. The "V" may be a 1901 hard to make out for sure right now. I also found an old spoon and a shot shell base that I haven't cleaned up yet. The ground dry and hard now. I'll head back there when the ground is softer and I'm more able to detect..

Great finds under painful conditions! Hope everything works out for you regarding your disc..did they suggest a fusion of some sort? I got C4,5,6 fused with a piece of my leg bone....
Thanks. For now treating with steroids. Followed by therapy. The Dr said maybe a nerve block. He is just a family practice MD. He is scheduling an appointment with a specialist. Beside the pain, it has affected my left arm with weakness and limited range of motion. I had to cancel a prospecting trip last month and haven't been able to hunt this season

Congratulations on the IH and V.
I was under the MRI machine yesterday for the very same thing. It was for my left shoulder and neck but after 30 minutes under that huge coil I had to ask if I could reschedule for the neck MRI.
I probably would not get any fusion done myself.
