Went out to my favorite local spot today and the farmer had cut his barley so I had to hit it hard today because he will likely be planting corn next. I tried a couple new areas of the farm I thought would produce some relics but didn't find but 2 bullets, so I headed for the area that has been good. I dug a couple bullets then found an Awesome VA coat button!!:clapping::bouncy: I couldn't believe my eyes when that thing popped out of the side of the hole. It cleaned up nice and has a little gilt left on it, has a small hole in the head but not bad for 150 years in the dirt!

Man what a sweet button buddy!!! A VA button has been on my list for a while. Maybe some day. :foottap: Very nice find!

Awesome find. I have never went civil war relic hunting; it is something I always wanted to do. I live in Michigan and have found post civil war relics while diving, but would like to go to some known battle sites. But don't know areas to get permission.

Super cool find! I'm still waiting to find my first button (of ANY kind). All the places up here around Winchester and it's hard to find a place to hunt.
