AT Pro Deep Signals?

I never really find any old coins or really deep coins. I have read that you should dig all faint signals to find older coins. What kind of VDI numbers show up for a deep or faint signal? I sometimes get faint signals that really don't show up on the VDI. Should I dig those?

On a lot of the faint signals I'll turn up my sens. all the way and somtimes you'll get a VDI read. If it rings in at a high tone with no VDI, I definitely dig. If it's that faint then it's probably small. I've dug a dime and a wheat at about 10 inches and sometimes I'd get a number and sometimes not. They always rang in high but just a whisper in the headphones.
