I picked up a Sov GT a couple weeks ago and truely enjoy it. I got 5 different coils 1 being the 15" WOT. I put it on today for the first time but am having a bit of trouble getting it tuned in or perhaps I have the sens turned up to high.
my settings are as follows.
volume: max
sens : 12 O'clock
notch : 0
Disc : 0
iron disc : on
channel : 2
track to balance then fix
I was hunting in a field below an old fort so the trash was moderate. I couldn't seem to lock on a target well unless it was within 5" of the surface. What I ended up doing was running in all metal and when I got a strong sig. I'd switch back into iron disc on to see if it would null or make noise. if noise I'd dig null I'd move on. I dug a couple nulled targets just to confirm it was iron, man this machine is awesome.
I pulled a button and a couple old bullet casings and some rusty nails (still can't seem to be able to tell if its iron yet) From the reading I was doing the with the sov you must swing slow which I was working on but still found myself going a bit quick at times.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
