Default The things you find in a box of pennies

Going through a box of pennies I got yesterday and this caught my eye. Clash die error is what I'm told.

Talking

That ought to be worth a pretty penny.

Seriously, that is a very nice error coin, and I expect that you could get a good price for it.

One of the better 1 cent errors KT has ever seen posted on here! If you ever wish to sell it, pm His Majesty! And congrats on a nice find!

Makes me wanna get back into CRH'ing. I haven't had a roll in what feels like 2 years.
Congrats on the find!

Just an update. Looks like it was a clever sham. Hot glue. From what I understand from KT, it will now be a science project.

That's too bad! It was fun to find though.

This was KT's coin dealer's opinion. Once back at the Castle, KT did a close up examination with His Royal Microscope and sure enough there was a clear layer with the impression of the back of another penny on Abe's head. Soaking in fingernail polish remover for a few hours allowed KT to stick a needle under the edge of the glue and it popped right off the penny.
