Just signed in to say hi! We're sitting at Mohigan Sun parking lot. Just dropped 40 bucks inside on the slots. :(
Going to Ocean Beach to see if Ernesto did any damage to the beach. Maybe we'll be luckier there. :?:

Anyway the trip back to New York was long, and then we spent 2 days at Sergei's helping him with his website. metaldetectingworld.com

It's turning out pretty nice.

We went home and spent 2 days during the rains, and then got invited to Brooklyn CT to visit Rich and Ellie Rice which are old friends of ours from the RI metal detecting club. Didn't do any detecting, but had a nice visit and we drove to Brimfield to see the huge antique show in progress there. It was really cool. They invited us to Atlantic City this weekend, so that's in the works.

So we're heading back home now I guess, with a short stop at Ocean Beach. I'll let you know later how we do.

Driving across country is kind of on hold right now since it's getting late in the season, but we may go to Indiana to visit my mom in November. Plans aren't definite yet, but we ought to go since Vlad has the car running so good.

Ever heard of mashed potato pizza? It's the hot item in Brooklyn CT right now at a restaurant called O'Conners. It is sooooo good!

Glad to hear you're having fun. I lost $100 at the Cherokee casino in Tulsa this weekend. Oops. No more eating out for awhile. You two have fun, everything is going good here.

Brooklyn is close to my buddies place in Killingly. I'll have to check out O'Connons next time I get up there to hunt, hopefully in a week or two. Thanks for the tip Carol!

Heard of spagetti pizza? wellcome back sad to hear of your gambling problem (loosing) Cladius.

Hi all, sorry for the delay in posting a pic. I didn't do too bad at Ocean Beach, actually found a ring :wow:
The dollars were just laying in the sand, didn't need a detector at all. Got 3 amusement tokens, and 2 foreign coins.
I guess Ernesto stirred things up a bit after all.

I like being in the right place at the right time.

We just got back from Atlantic City, Rich and Ellie from the RI club invited us to a Bluegrass Concert. Which I'm not real crazy about Bluegrass, but it was pretty cool.

We stopped and detected a little at Atlantic City Beach but didn't find much. My first find was a Sequoia dollar, and I got a silver quarter.

Ate at a buffet in Bally's Casino, but didn't play any slots, we already learned our lesson.

Good to hear your having a good time. Dollars laying on the sand . Now that sounds like my kind of place.

Carol

Did you go somewhere? I didn't even miss you... ;)

Carol my fav beach is all out of wack after Ernesto... but new troughs are opening up and I got a taste of them this week 2 rings in 15 minutes and Raymond got one nice old heavy silver ring with a big fat nitro... silver coins... I was walking in the murky water and went from a few inches deep almost to my neck :( I slid right down into a crater... I use my coil now as my eyes..

Good to know Craig. Vlad's hot wiring our Baracudas directly to the inside connection and bypassing the outside connector. We'll be back in the water again soon.

However, I've had a cold since we got back. :o(
