hey new forum guy

Hello from a Florida newbie!

I've done a TON of research for MONTHS before starting out and from everything I've read, read, AND read, a multi-frequency or Direct Impulse machine is good for beaches. DI's are for those who want to do some underwater detection and surfs and the MF's are great for wet, dry, surf, and some do well for shallow dives. Check out Minelabs and check out what they have for MF's and DI's. If you want a real one for wet/dry sand and surf for not too much get the Equinox 600. If you think you're gonna add some gold prospecting to your hunts or want some bells and whistles then go 800 but its gonna raise the price (still under $1G). They are very versatile. Some will even swear by some of the Garretts also. Do some more research before you commit as a newbie for the beach.
-Study hard and hunt on! (Hey, that sounded cool!)
