I spent a couple hours in the woods again today, dodging vines :lol:

I believe this to be post civil war, but I cannot find much on the maker.
It appears to be F Foster & Son & Co. Chicago IL
does anybody know anything about them?

As someone has said above , you find the coolest stuff.!
For those that know a little of how Matmit hunts ... well he is as close to the description of ( dig it all ) that I have ever seen.
The man has amaizing persistence. After diggin 20 low conductor targets I would run myself into a tree head first just to put a stop to the foil and screw caps and pull tabs .

He just keeps going and going and going . I predict a gold coin for him in 2018.

I just could not live with myself if I passed up something only because it did not sound like a silver coin...
No details on the button yet, just that it is post Civ.
