New Detector Question

I currently own a Garrett GTAx 1000 that I'm about to send back to Garrett to have recalibrated. I'm looking to buy my wife a Garrett Ace 250. We have one here at work and I think it's a good light machine for her. When I get my GTAx back from Garrett I'm either going to trade it or sell it outright and buy myself another machine. I don't want to have two Ace 250's but I would like to have a machine that's about the same weight, a little better capabilities and close to the same price.

We will be using them mostly for coins/jewelry inland and maybe some fresh water beaches.

My GTAx is a great machine. I just want something lighter and newer.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
