Default Is This A Sword Blade

I found this in two pieces just a few feet where i dug up a sabre hand guard and pommel around a year ago. I also dug a calvary picket pin, eagle button, and bullets.

yes sir! great find. You can clearly see the tang and the shape of the sword. Unless the blade side is on the inside of the curve. then you have a scythe blade

Sure looks like it may be. I have a 1860 calvery wrist breaker in my relic room that is complete. And I would have to say at 99.9% that you have a sword blade. A very nice find. Congrats

Yep! Definitely a sword blade. Looks like you have the pommel and the hand guard/basket to go with it. Not sure what the baton looking piece is, but that sword is a great find. I would definitely clean it up and display all the 3 pieces together. Congrats
