Strange button and musket ball.

Hit an area of a War of 1812 conflict. Found a nice musket ball and a strange button. The face of the button has a pattern of diamond shapes. Appears to be pewter.

Anybody know what it might be?

If you go to finds.org.uk you can do a search for pewter bottom and scroll through a massive database of finds. That is the first place I would look to find something about the button. Good luck
